Hyatt Place Ads

These ads are meant to be placed in the facilities catalog.  Originally, the top one was made as an example of how ads on in the catalog should look.  However, the director of Hyatt Place saw it and wanted to use it in the catalog as a real ad, but full spread.  So I had to make the second one, but slightly modified.  I didn't want words to run through the seam so i broke up the copy to the left and right.

Catalog Cover

This is the cover for the catalog so far.  The front is meant to be sideways so that someone taking the catalog out of an envelope can see the picture right side up.  But the pictures on the back can be oriented correctly.

Facilities Catalog

I'm currently working on a catalog that showcases different facilities on campus.  These are just a few of the pages to show the overall layout.  Notice that it's a full spread, and when folded in half, it's very tall.  We decided to make it that way so that it could fit into envelopes to be mailed.

Green Apparel

This t-shirt was made for the Plan Green conference.  The graphic was printed on organic cotton material (hence the color) and it had the event logo and e-mail on the front, and the "carbon footprint" on the back.  This project was interesting in a unique way.  Apparently, the printers thought the "actual size" part was a note for them, so the were taking them out.  We had to call several times to make sure they know that it's actually part of the image.

Green Give Aways

This graphic was used to decorate the front of a shopping bag.  One of those reusable, biodegradable shopping bags for you to put groceries in.  This was also used on the front of a notebook made completely out of recycled materials.  I came up with the idea of reusing the leaf from the logo to make a foot print.  I also came up with the slogan "My Carbon Footprint (Actual Size)".

Plan Green

One of the biggest projects I worked on was the Plan Green conference CEVS planned and hosted.  The idea is for event planners from around the area to come and learn new ways to plan sustainable and zero-waste events.  I am responsible for comming up with the event identity which includes the logo and all the collaterals for the conference.  This is the logo I came up with.  It's clean and simple, but says still says what needs to be said.

New Employee Postcard

This card was a small project meant to inform new department staffs about CEVS.  The back will have customed information stickers stuck on so that it could be used it different situations.

Paired Quick Screen Banner

These are a set of two banners. They are each the size of the previous banner and are meant to work as a pair. These banners will only be used in an environment where both could be set up; for example in a booth at a trade show.

Single Quick Screen Banner

This is another quickscreen banner meant for trade shows and conferences. This banner is much larger than the previous one and is meant to be pulled up to the height of an adult. There are considerable space left blank on the bottom since people can't see that space anyway.

Small Quick Screen Banner

This is a small quickscreen banner that could be easily placed and set up on table tops. This quickscreen is used at various trade shows or conferences to market UC Davis. Since the size is smaller than other quick screens, it is used the most. When pulled out all the way, this banner reaches 52 inches.

Postcard

This was one of my first projects I worked on when I started working at UC Davis Campus Events and Visitor Services (CEVS), soon to become UC Davis Conference & Event Services. This postcard sized handout is meant to be handed out to different departments on campus or to people off campus so that they can be aware of the new website.
